First I would decide what you want.  I would have separate /home with plenty
of space (20G). Create 10G maximum for / of linuxes you want installed.

Never, never accept the options from the distribution. Choose partition
manually. Install the distribution you'll use most last. Always make sure
you have a partition ready prior to an install.

I'd reformat using Gpart in Ubuntu Live CD

10 GB 10.04
10GB PC Linux
20 GB /home  (shared between os')
SWAP
