Kaushal, do you have another machine to use when it freezes? If so,
while it is _not_ frozen, install ssh & make sure that you can ssh into
the machine from the other machine. When the problem machine freezes see
if you can ssh into the frozen machine and collect the logs (dmesg,
syslog, and /home/<username>/.xsession-errors. My _guess_ is that you'll
even be able to use 'ssh -X' & still use gui applications. Your issue
sounds similar to my bug:
