jaunty / firefox 3.5 / gnash not detected

as i suspected, that was it.  i just had to search for help using
"shiretoko" and it lead me right to this command:

$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
ln: creating symbolic link
`/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so': File exists

which, as you can see, didn't initially work.

so i just removed the offending link, which i suspect might have been in
place for firefox 3.0, and retried.

$ sudo rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so
$

gnash is now detected and working well.
