Ubuntu usage in company

Well i'll try to explain.
I mean i don't need to have all users profiles like in Windows DC/AD.
I just need to look all user profiles the same (it includes desktop
background, theme settings, login screen, the "look" of openoffice (buttons,
bars etc), bottom bar, top bar and so on. Users will work on their own
box'es and won't migrate.
My idea is to copy profile settings (i assume it is the folders in home dir
with the dot in front like *.openoffice* *.xmms* *.firefox*)
