running windows boot partition in ubuntu

Yes. It is possible. With VirtualBox.
Probably there are some other possibilities. (I'd like to find some info on
qemu/kvm).

I ran it myself some time ago with VirtualBox 1.5.4 and then 
VirtualBox 2.0 and Fedora.
I had dual boot configuration with Windows XP and Fedora.
And I was able to boot Windows both natively and in VirtualBox from Fedora.
Even if there were some problems with mouse and keyboard.

I wonder why some people say, it's not possible and just confuse others.
