Well, I re-installed Alpha3 a short time ago. Installation went OK and I
also was able to install the #256 nVidia driver; no problems after reboots.

However, when I went to use the Update Manager I was shown that there
were 355 upgrades to be done (289 yesterday). On trying to install them
I got the error message that a dependency could not be satisfied and
this was:

libgirepository1.0-1

and was asked if I wanted to report the error and when I did the error
message came up that the Error Report reported had crashed. (Been there
done that yesterday...)

Because I had selected as one of the local (Australian) mirrors as my
source for files I switched over to the Main Source just in case the
local mirror was yet to be updated.

Exactly same results.

BTW, when the question about whether I wanted to report the error came
up I had a look at the Details which would have been produced in the
report. There were dozens of files which were reported as being out of
date and to clear the problem I would have to upgrade them.

As I stated yesterday, since this was a new install why would there be
out-of-date files?
