Flash player doesn't show up in plugins...

It was probably my reply you are referring to. However. the only thing else I can add is that there are other /usr/lib/<browser type>/plugin dirs that you can add the libflashplayer.so to including one for firefox. You might add it there and there is one for firefox-3.5.3. However in /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.3 the plugin dir is symlinked to ../firefox-addons/plugins, an abbreviated dir which I can't find. If you know how to locate an abbreviated dir you may find something there to help. OTT, you could try "sudo update-alternatives --all" and skim through the list to see what you can find. Then perhaps someone with better knowledge than me could help.
