Good Idea for new users

I am not a new user but only slightly better knowledge wise  than many 
new users.    I started waiting a couple months after releases to 
upgrade and thats long after after the most bugs are ironed out.  I have 
on a couple of occasions suggested this to new users and I think it's 
sound advice for these people.
