Brasero won't copy a CD

Don't feel bad... I just copied a music CD w/Brasero and when I tried to
mount it I got:
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a
reply (timeout by message bus)
To top it off, now the original retail cd does the same thing!
I've got a WinXP up on my other test system & put the CD in there & it
comes up & plays without issues.
I guess it's time to wander off to:
