Brasero won't copy a CD

Interesting. I got that message when I inserted one of the borked CDs
in my drive. Doesn't seem to have any problem reading originals
though. There does seem to be some general problem when it comes to
writing CDs using 9.04. I've googled and found plenty of complaints but
no answers.
Another oddity is that original CDs are now shown as containing wavs
when they always used to show up as .cdda.
I'm giving up - for now. I'll stick with making 320kbps mp3 till a
solution is presented.
