Well, I was able to install it with Synaptic, so I assumed it was part 
of the Ubuntu docs that were available. I didn't realize a book could 
have a "depends" setting as well. It has greatly enhanced my knowledge 
of the file system, and other parts of Ubuntu since I've started reading it.
