Open source alternative to tally

I thought Tally also came in a Ubuntu format, did you ask the company?   It 
seems to me they will even transfer your existing license.  I know they were 
playing with it a year ago or so as a friend of mine said he was using it on 
his 7.10 Ubuntu install.  He is in India now I think but I haven't heard from  
him for awhile.
