be forewarned, not every game made for windows will work through wine.
theres a compatibility list on the wine website you may want to look at
first.  ....  you need to find the install.exe file for the game you
want on the cd you have it stored on, or read the install text file to
find out what file to execute to install.  find it on the cd, right
click it, and choose install with wine.  if that doesnt work, and you
have 3d accel, id say your chances are slin to nil in using it on ubuntu.

also, if you open synaptic (system>admin>synaptic) bottom left side,
click sections, then games.  browse through the hundreds of games
available from the repos.  you wont want to go back to windows.
