Anti-Virus Utilities on linux/ubuntu

My approach is to educate my friends to use appropriate AV software 
because _their_ system is vulnerable and I'm not the only one to 
correspond with them. And if they don't know how to do it, I will help 
them to find the AV software they need to make their systems a little 
less vulnerable.
