Getting dvd to play

I checked it out it has plenty of scratches. I'll assume this is the 
problem since the Harry Potter Movie worked and I am betting it is 
encrypted and quit playing with this until I'm sure there really is a 
problem with the set up. Not sure why xine has so much better video than 
totem but I'll go with it for now.
