Windows frame were lost

Do you have the lower panel back? If so, right click on the panel then:
Add to panel|Window List|Add|Close.

If you are missing the lower panel; right click on the top panel, select
New Panel. You can then right click on that panel and select
Properties|Orientation|Bottom.
