First off, please consider a more descriptive title next time... to be
honest, the only reason I even looked at the email was because mildly
interest in what the complaints might be before getting off for the
night.

What is your printer Brand/Name/Model?
Is the printer connected to your Ubuntu computer, another computer, by
itself on a network, etc? (the more specifics of your setup the better)
If it's connected to your Ubuntu computer already, can you print like
that?
Does your printer show up in "System > Administration > Printing"?

These are windows programs, not linux programs. Your only bet for
getting them to work under Ubuntu is wine (www.winehq.org). I wouldn't
get my hopes up though... a quick search in the application database
(http://appdb.winehq.org) showed that neither program works particularly
well under wine, if at all.
I saw a while back something about corelDRAW 9 for linux, but a quick
search on corel's website revealed no linux products whatsoever, so who
knows with that.
I would personally recommend choosing an alternative native-linux
program to use instead, as you will probably have better luck with it.
there's a page that recommends alternatives here:
http://www.osalt.com/corel-draw
Personally, I'd recommend Inkscape. It's available in "Applications >
Add/Remove" (search for inkscape)
As for a native, linux-friendly encyclopedia, I don't know. You'll have
to search around a bit. It might also be worth noting that Encarta is
not long for this world...see here:

Have you tried anything to get it working yet? Do you know what kind of
modem it is? If not, please open a terminal (Applications > Accessories
> Terminal) and include the output of the command "lspci" in your next
message

Please see http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu concerning buying an ubuntu
9.04 CD (or DVD), or ordering a free CD (or DVD)
