Ah yes, sure. Obviously on a mailing list like this, we must be
tolerant ond forgiving to new comers. I was more thinking of people
who, once properly and politely educated by this list, keep deliberetly
doing it wrong, and who keep coming with crappy excuses for their
madness or lazyness ;-)
I was not at all knocking on the truly clueless and desperate newbie in
trouble who like you said, are truly disabled in the tech department. I
have a few relatives like this.
However, I tend to experience that for the most part, the e-mail media
is considered a very old and technical tool used by only a few technical
people, whereas the majority of clueless people are mich more
confortable using the web/forum media. That's why I tend to expect more
smartness and skills from people who use e-mails rather than web
forums...
