Baffled by OpenOffice templates

Indeed.  Thanks very much for the information.

BTW, do you happen to know whether it's possible permanently to get rid
of the 'Use of this template' dialog that pops up asking about single or
multiple addressees?  I'm rarely using multiple addressees, and it gets
annoying.
