Hi Linda,

not quite what you asked, but I've got some users using 'automounts'
now on NFS, and I think it's working much better.  The beauty of it
is, if it's not mounted when they try and use it, it mounts
automagically - they can't tell the difference.   Since my remote NFS
servers aren't on UPS's and power outages happen, it's much nicer than
using fstab mounts that require the server to be up before the clients
when the hydro comes back.
