Windows, you get the Wubi installer.  If you boot from the live CD, you get
the standard installer, or the live CD, depending which you choose.

It's not an "application" running in Windows: you boot to Linux, but the
Linux filesystem is a file on the Windows filesystem.  So yes, you still
need to have enough space on C:, and that should be mentioned somewhere,
but you may never run Windows again :-)
