Ok, I have a 2GB Sandisk Sansa Clip M350 mp3 player. It connects to the
PC via USB. Its an MTA music player accord to Windows XP and Vista.
When I had Gutsy installed I could mount the player and transfer music
to it via Amarok. I had to use the Generic Media Player setting because
I could never get the MTA Player settings to work right in Amarok for
syncing files.
In Hardy I have a problem mounting the player. When I plug it into the
USB port the dialog box pops up asking what I to do. When I choose to
open the device in Dolphin to see what files are on the player it comes
up and I see the files and folders for only a couple of seconds and then
they vanish and so does the icon for the player on the desktop.
I've tried just plugging in the player and mounting it without actually
opening the device in Dolphin. When I try to mount the player the
desktop icon simple vanishes and the player is no longer listed in
Storage Media on the System Menu.
There is no error message dialog that appears and I've tried to find a
log that might contain some sort of error message but I can't find one.
The player simple mounts and unmounts with no error message at all.
The player goes into a special mode when its plugged in and mounted,
even when this problem occurs the player still thinks it mounted until I
unplug it from the USB port, then it rebuilds its internal music
database and goes to the playlist menu.
The player is formated in FAT32, format performed by the player's own
firmware.
