Ubuntu sources problems

if you installed 6.10, I may be wrong, but I believe that is not
supported any longer.  Thats why your update sources arent working....
I would upgrade it to 7, then 8.  I dont think you can go from 6 to 8,
even if you can I wouldnt do it myself.

update-manager -d

as root if you want to try it.
