I think that previous versions would allow you to put the device MAC
into /etc/iftab, but Hardy now uses
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
You might google on that (Ubuntu +70-persistent-net.rules +dual
ethernet) and see what you come up with.
