Hello.

I am trying to share a hard disk on the network using samba.

To share a directory on my local home is not a problem. I do it using the
procedure at
Share files and folders with other computers
https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/internet/C/networking-shares.html

and it works fine, but when I try to share an enter external disk I am told
that I have not enough permissions since I do not own the mounted directory.

I mount the driver with the admin user, I have properly configured the fstab
and just by doing mount /media/TrekStor it mount it up.

ls -lF on the mounted directory looks like this:

drwxrwxrwx 4 root root 4096 2008-10-06 00:18 TrekStor/

I see it is root who owns the directory, so I imagine I need to do an sudo
to be able to share the folder. but what is the command I have to execute?

thanks
