Hi, you may all want to compare hardware as well...... maybe all the
same chipset or video card or ethernet chip?

I have a lockup problem with heavy ethernet usage (VIA VT6102 rhine-II)
with a compaq presario desktop/aka mythbox..... sometimes streaming of
movies from a file server locks up the computer. no choice but to
reboot. no ssh, no ctrl alt to a tty, nothing works..Thought it was an
audio buffer overflow problem once (from logs) but cured that and still
have a problem ...intermittent, albeit annoying at times!
