firefox3: where are hidden the plugins settings?

Alas. I asked neither how to find the installed plugins, nor where
they are, but how FX3 makes its choice.
It's why I looked at mozplugerrc and mimetypes, but it seems, if I understood
well, that they are used only for external helpers, and not plugins.
