OK, I'll repeat:

If you are looking for where Fx3 (Ubuntu version) gets all of it's
default preinstalled plugins from, look in

$ ls                  
libtotem-basic-plugin.xpt                 mplayerplug-in-dvx.xpt
libtotem-complex-plugin.xpt                  mplayerplug-in-qt.xpt
libtotem-cone-plugin.xpt                      mplayerplug-in-rm.xpt
libtotem-mully-plugin.xpt              mplayerplug-in-wmp.xpt         mplayerplug-in.xpt
