No subject

Hi,

I am trying to install the Ubuntu 8.4 but I am facing problem while boot-up.

I booted my system from Ubuntu CD. When I selected to install Ubuntu but I get just blank screen with cursor blinking on top. Both my input devices Keyboard and mouse don't work!!!

Why is this happening??? My friends didn't faced any problem installing from the same CD!!!
