8.04 with Vista Home Premium

Please excuse my starting yet another thread. I was shifting the mail to 
8.04 on the main tabletop computer and inadvertently erased mail and 
failed to continue existing threads. Thanks to all those who contributed 
suggestions. I think

has the necessary information, but for the present I shall try to 
complete the setup on the tabletop.
