Virtualbox is in the hardy universe repo - just enable that repository
and then you can install it from Synaptic.

However, it seems they don't have modules yet (at least not at my
mirror) for the new 2.6.24-17 kernel so if you've upgraded to that
kernel you still won't be able to run it - instead install the 2.6.24-16
kernel and you should be ok.
