Usually, off topic threads are posted with a descriptive subject,
beginning with the prefix "OT:". Like this: "OT: recycling optical
drives". Also, these topics are very discouraged, especially those
which have little to do with the list topic. I'm not being rude,
rather, helping you brush up on list etiquette. I know that the Ubuntu
list is rather tolerant of non-standard behaviour from new list
members, but those with mailing list experience should encourage
proper behaviour to preserve the list.
