No booting after 2.6.24-19 kernel upgrade

Hi everybody.

Today, like many others days, i has upgrades for my Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron 64 bits. They includes a new kernel version, 2.6.24-19. After upgrade (without problems) i reboot my PC box and it stop all times i try. Always at the same point:

Loading ACPI Modules ............

Anybody has a similar issue with this new kernel?.
