In the BIOS, is your SATA controller set to compat mode or EHCI mode?

In the early betas, EHCI mode was a problem, but the final CD should
work fine. If 7.10 is installed with the controller in compat mode,
then the issue should be that grub was not set up properly. While I've
not done a multi-boot set-up with multiple versions on the same machine,
a perusal of the grub how-to should help you be able to get that
partition startable in grub.
