Nils,
   Thank you very much for the link.  The printer works perfectly.  I 
just looked at the Network setup from the client and it shows spare (the 
ckient), Windows Network and workgroup (the server.  When I dbl click 
the icon for workgroup it displays the shared files on that machine.  
When I dbl click the file I wish to open it asks for the password.  
Please excuse me for being so dense but as I examined it this time I 
noticed the domaine is MSHOME.  When I was running Gutsy I had a Windows 
unit also and had it linked to both of my Ubuntu unit, so samba was 
installed.  Do I need to uninstall the samba so that the ssh will take 
over?  I really do not want to use the windows shares because of the 
security issues.
