MythTV not finding database

Hello,

I read the brief description of MythTV in Synaptic today, and installed 
it on Ubuntu Hardy. When I start it, it gives me a configuration screen 
which asks for several setting to do with localhost and a database name? 
What's up with that? I thought this was just a program to watch online 
TV with. What's the database for?

Do I now have to install a database application to use it?
