MythTV can be used to watch internet feeds but it is also a bundle of
applications that allow you to watch Cable/Satellite/Antenna TV on your
computer. To do all of this you need a TV-Tuner card on your computer.
The database has to do with your TV listings. There is a company out
there who, for ~$20 a year, will let you download a TV schedule. That
schedule is installed in the database and you can schedule recordings.
Kind of like TiVo. If you have more questions you might check out the
www.mythbuntu.[com?org] or ask more questions here.

To be or not to be, that is the question
                2b || !2b
(0b10)*(0b1100010) || !(0b10)*(0b1100010)
        0b11000100 || !0b11000100
        0b11000100 || 0b00111011
               0b11111111
        255, that is the answer.
