Laptop does not always recognise server

Additionally,

ping  Server

ping Server.DMJ-Consultancy.local (and ping Server.local)
returns
ping: unknown host Server.DMJ-Consultancy.local

The only thing that's jumping out at me right now is that strictly "-" is
