Laptop does not always recognise server

No, it's required.  At 6.06, you probably had an actual hostname in there,
but since then it's been modified to grab the hostname.

Is that address correct for "Server".

So, from Train1, what do "nslookup Server" and "nslookup
Server.DMJ-consultancy.local" return?

The only thing that's jumping out at me right now is that strictly "-" is
not allowed in a domain name.
