Touche. Granted, I've not touched NM in about 4 months. Maybe it's
better now, but based on what I read on the other lists I'm on, it seems
to still have issues with things that have been a problem from day one.

I can go along with that. I only offered my suggestion because he
asked. It's not the only way to do it. It's just the way I've done it
in the past and thought I'd share. The caveat about security stands
regardless. I just felt like I needed to explain my position on offering
it instead of letting someone claim 'bad advice'.

Again, this is true. But, and this is my stance, how many people
actually use really strong passwords/phrases? I mean ones that won't
get cracked just by crossing your eyes at it? I say the odds are
extremely high that it wouldn't take long to crack /most/ users
passphrases. This is less about /what should be/ and more about /what is/.

I would certainly like to just assume every user has a strong password
and a high paranoia level, but we know what assuming does. And that's
why I said that keeping it in NM is not much better than a script.

So, now that we've beaten this to death, can we move on?
