The thing is: the webmail addon does work as a translator between
thunderbird and the webmail-server, as it reads and translates the
webpage in HTML and gets the info to the otherside in POP or IMAP format

It is even possible to get another mail program to access the webmail
when they access the portnumber, (but only as thunderbird is running)

The only drawback is that when the website changes its layout, the addon
cannot understand anymore, and will fail until it gets updated
