No sound in Ubuntu 7.04 and 7.10 (Intel 82801CA-ICH3)

Hello,

I have a Intel 82801CA-ICH3 soundcard in my laptop. I installed Ubuntu 7.04
and after that Ubuntu 7.10 but I'm not able to get sound working.

The audiomixer app lists #0 Intel 82801CA-ICH3 as soundcard and I can change
sound volume. aplay -l also shows me the soundcard and with alsamixer I can
adjust volumes. But still no sound at all, no matter what sound file I load
(tried with the Example files also).

Any idea how I can fix this?
