$ wget
http://ftp-mozilla.netscape.com/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/releases/1.1.5/seamonkey-1.1.5.en-US.linux-i686.installer.tar.gz
$ tar zxvf seamonkey-1.1.5.en-US.linux-i686.installer.tar.gz
$ cd seamonkey-installer
$ ./seamonkey-installer
... Go through a bunch of next-next-next windows-installer-style
dialogs...
I happened to install it to /home/burner/seamonkey, so I do:
$ cd ~/seamonkey
$ ./seamonkey
If I'm feeling adventurous:
$ nautilus ~/seamonkey/
... drag the seamonkey icon to the top panel ...
... navigate to chrome/icons/default ...
... drag the seamonkey.png onto the icon selector in the seamonkey
launcher ...
