Screwed-up desktop in Gutsy

Move the files and folders to home? Did you backup /home? If so  you could
reload it after getting rid of the mess on your desktop. LOL that is how I
would do it but I don't know much  . . . sort of a  dirty solution to the
problem. I am sure someone will come up with an elegant method. Or I would
simply reinstall Gutsy clean and then copy my /home to the fresh new system.
I did that on my laptop and was pleased. I installed over the copy on my
desktop computer.
