screen wavy after upgrade to Feisty - refresh rate? can't config display in kcontrol...

This may be a case of you running the open source nVIDIA driver (rather
than the proprietary one) on a machine like the Toshiba Tecra M2 (you
didn't specify your hardware).
If you are on an nVIDIA graphics controler, try enabling the screen
effects and as such install the proprietary nVIDIA driver.
