Greetings!
I just installed Ubuntu ( 7.04 ) on an older machine that my kids use
for web surfing, AIM and email. They got tired of losing their Windows
machine ( and data ) to virii and trojans so they were willing to try
Linux as long as they could have a Tux screen saver! That was easy.
Things seemed to be fine for the past few days except for Firefox. I
downloaded the latest version ( Version 6 Update 3 ) of Java and the
install went without a hitch. The kids love yahoo games and the games
do come up, but they are soooooo sloooowwww. And, Firefox will freeze
up for a few. What happened?
Has anyone seen this problem and come up with a solution?
thanks,
Michael
