Frank,
Its the other way around. My desktop is loaded with programs whereas the
laptop is barebones. I use it for writing letters and emails. A new addition
to the laptop was Opera but I uninstalled it to see if it was the problem.
Maybe I should just reinstall the system. I have /home backed up to my
little server.
