strange behaviour

Hi Guys

my laptop started with a little strange behaviour as of last night. In all 
fairness the cat decided to sit on the keyboard while it was running so I 
wonder if it might be related. What is now hapenning is that I have to login 
twice to reach my desktop. Even when the username and password are right 
first time it goes back to the login screen again. Any ideas?
