Yes, read the spec :)  It says this:

Implementation Status: Beta Available. A beta version, implementing
substantially all of the feature, has been published for widespread
testing in personal package archives or a personal release. The code is
not yet in the main archive or mainline branch. Testing and feedback are
solicited.
