Huh? Your network connection will have a TCP item, a QoS item and a
Client for MS Networks item.... It's possible there are a few more
items on the list too. Unless you know what they are for - just ignore
them.

Client for Microsoft Networks has nothing to do with what you are doing
here. Ignore it!
QoS isn't going to affect anything in your type of set up either -
ignore it too.
TCP has to be set up properly - but since you report the Ubuntu box can
see the Windows box, then it is fine the way it is.
So - to reiterate - leave the Windows box alone - it's fine.....
